Mira Kapoor’s ‘Akind’ Skincare Brand Launched by Reliance Retail’s Tira

Tira, Reliance Retail’s beauty retail platform, announced on Wednesday the launch of its new skincare brand, ‘Akind,’ co-founded by Mira Kapoor. The brand was introduced at Tira’s flagship store at Jio World Drive in Mumbai and will be available both online and offline through Tira.

Focus on Skin Barrier Health

Akind offers three types of formulations designed to improve skin barrier health. Isha Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, said, “We are excited to introduce Akind, Tira’s first skincare brand in our own brands portfolio. This launch is a significant milestone for Tira. As we continue to expand and evolve, we remain committed to innovation and excellence.”

Mira Kapoor, Co-Founder of Akind, shared, “My skincare journey truly began when I started listening to my skin. The Akind range was carefully formulated with care, trial and error, and extensive research into high-efficacy ingredients that provide targeted solutions for specific problems. Tira, as the ultimate destination for curated beauty brands, was the perfect partner to bring this vision to life.”

Affordable Skincare

She added, “With Akind, I want to share the joy of skin type agnostic, barrier-focused, high-performance, and affordable skincare that helps people achieve the best version of their skin, just like I did.”

Reliance Retail Limited launched Tira in April of last year. The company stated, “The addition of Akind, its first skincare brand, underscores Tira’s commitment to offering customers high-quality, diverse, and trend-setting products across beauty and personal care categories.”
