Torrent Gas Lowers CNG Prices by Rs 2.50/kg Across All Locations

Torrent Gas has just made it cheaper to fuel up your CNG vehicle! They’ve cut the price by Rs 2.50 per kg across all their locations. This reduction comes after other gas retailers in Mumbai and Delhi also lowered their CNG prices.

Mumbai CNG Price Drop

Mahanagar Gas Ltd in Mumbai decided to reduce CNG prices by Rs 2.50 per kg on March 6. Now, the new CNG price in Mumbai is Rs 73.50 per kg. The company claims that this makes CNG 53% cheaper than petrol and 22% cheaper than diesel in Mumbai.

Similar Reduction in Delhi

Delhi also joined the price drop trend. Indraprastha Gas Ltd announced a Rs 2.50 per kg reduction in CNG prices in Delhi and nearby cities. This brings the revised selling price to Rs 74.09 per kg in Delhi and Rs 78.70 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad.

Why the Drop?

The price reductions are happening because the cost of the gas used to make CNG has gone down. Torrent Gas, with 428 CNG stations and over 1 lakh piped cooking gas customers, expects this move to encourage more people to use CNG vehicles.

Torrent Gas Managing Director, Manoj Jain, mentioned, “This drop in CNG prices will not only save money for CNG vehicle owners but will also boost the sale of new CNG vehicles in different categories, including passenger and commercial vehicles.”

Why is CNG Great?

CNG is known for being a clean and green fuel. It’s environmentally friendly, and now, with lower prices, it’s even more attractive for vehicle owners. Besides saving money, CNG vehicles offer better mileage and lower maintenance costs.

Torrent Gas is actively working to spread awareness about CNG and piped gas. They hold city gas licenses for 34 districts across seven states and one Union Territory, covering a population of about 9 crore people. The company hopes that these price drops will encourage more people to choose economical and eco-friendly natural gas as their fuel.
