The Ayurveda Experience Secures $27 Million in Funding Led by Jungle Ventures

Direct-to-consumer startup, The Ayurveda Experience (TAE), specializing in Ayurvedic products, announced on Friday that it has raised $27 million in its latest funding round, with Singapore-based Jungle Ventures leading the investment. Other participants in the funding round include SIDBI Ventures, Anicut Capital, and Sharrp Ventures from the Mariwala Family Office.

TAE intends to use the funds to expand its presence in current markets, enhance customer engagement on its platform, invest in product research and development, and explore new distribution channels, as mentioned in a company statement.


“We are focused on improving the core aspects of the business with a long-term vision to create a strong and sustainable enterprise,” said Rishabh Chopra, the founder and CEO of TAE.

With this funding round, TAE has raised a total of $41 million. The company, founded in 2010, operates in North America, Europe, Canada, Australia, and India, offering a range of Ayurvedic products through its four proprietary lines. These products are sold and distributed through its platform, which also provides services such as consultations, content, webinars, and courses on Ayurveda.

TAE claims to have a global sales presence in 20 countries, including India, with more than 97% of its sales directly coming from its app and website.

“As India gains prominence globally, there is a unique opportunity for our entrepreneurs to establish global brands with distinct Indian flavors. The impressive achievements of TAE’s team, achieving significant scale with minimal resources, are truly commendable,” said Arpit Beri, a partner at Jungle Ventures.

Jungle Ventures focuses on investments in early to growth-stage companies and operates in India and Southeast Asia. Some of its portfolio companies include Moglix, Livspace, Builder.ai, and Atomberg.
