On Tuesday, Hyundai Motor Company shared the first teaser images of its new A-segment sub-compact electric vehicle, named Inster. The name “Inster” combines the ideas of ‘intimate’ and ‘innovative.’ This new model is an evolution of Hyundai’s CASPER, a petrol-powered car sold only in Korea since 2021.
Hyundai says the Inster will set new standards for driving range, technology, and safety features in its class.
The teaser images show a strong yet small SUV design. Key features include distinctive LED daytime running lights and pixel-graphic turn signals and tail lamps, giving the new sub-compact EV a unique look.
Hyundai expects the Inster to have a maximum range of 355 km (WLTP) on a single charge.
The Inster will make its global debut later this month at the Busan International Mobility Show.
