India’s First Green Hydrogen Plant in Stainless Steel Sector Inaugurated by Jyotiraditya Scindia

“It gives me tremendous pleasure to inaugurate this first green hydrogen plant, a collaboration of two innovative powerhouses, Jindal Stainless and Hygiene Co., paving the path not only for the steel sector in India but also making an impact across the world,” said Minister Scindia.

Reflecting on the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Minister Scindia highlighted the resilience shown by nations globally. He emphasized the need to revitalize trade, commerce, and economies as the world emerges from the pandemic, focusing on creating job opportunities and improving global living standards.

“As we come out of this very difficult period of the pandemic, reinvigorating ourselves through trade, commerce, economies, creating employment, better lives for people across the world, and returning to normalcy or greater heights become crucial,” stated Minister Scindia.

Drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Modi’s vision, Minister Scindia emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities in critical sectors like the national green hydrogen mission, semiconductors, and drones. He called for proactive leadership to make India a global leader in innovation and technology.

Minister Scindia also highlighted the vital role of the steel sector in India’s journey to become a dominant global economic power. He projected India’s ascent to surpass Germany and Japan within the next three to four years, solidifying its position as the third-largest economy globally.

The inauguration of India’s first green hydrogen plant in the stainless steel sector is a significant stride towards sustainable development and economic growth in the country.
