What Stocks Were Added?
SBI MF added Honeywell Automation, L&T Technology Services, and Jindal Stainless. Axis MF purchased Petronet LNG, Suzlon Energy, and Zydus Lifesciences. Nippon India MF bought Vedant Fashions, APL Apollo Tubes, and The Ramco Cements. Aditya Birla SL purchased shares of CG Power & Industries, Persistent Systems, and Petronet LNG. Mirae MF added Apollo Tyres, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, and KPR Mills. Coromandel International and PB Fintech were the sole additions by HDFC MF and ICICI Pru MF, respectively.
Inflow Trends and Growth
Mutual funds saw a significant rise in inflows in May compared to April. Equity-oriented schemes experienced net inflows of Rs 34,697 crore in May, up from Rs 18,917.09 crore in April. Sectoral/Thematic mutual funds saw inflows of over Rs 19,000 crore, making it the best-performing category. Additionally, around 15 lakh new folios were added in the sectoral/thematic mutual fund category in May, bringing the total to 2.05 crore folios from 1.90 crore in April.
