Zee Media Reports Wider Q2 Loss as Revenue Declines by 13%

Zee Media announced its second-quarter results on Friday, revealing a larger net loss of ₹49.86 crore for the period ending September 2024. This loss increased from ₹30.70 crore during the same quarter last year.

The company’s revenue from operations fell by 13.78%, totaling ₹130.70 crore compared to ₹151.59 crore in the previous year. Zee Media’s total expenses rose by 1.64% to ₹199.65 crore in the same quarter.

Total income, which includes other income sources, also dropped by 13.43%, reaching ₹133.12 crore. Advertising revenue decreased by 16.3% to ₹119.22 crore, while subscription revenue saw a rise of 26.7% to ₹11.43 crore.

Zee Media, formerly known as Zee News Ltd, is a prominent news network in India, operating around 20 TV news channels. On the Bombay Stock Exchange, Zee Media’s shares closed at ₹19.19, down 4.95% from the previous trading session.
