Vodafone Idea has announced a major deal worth about ₹30,000 crore with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung. This contract is for the supply of 4G and 5G network equipment over the next three years.
This agreement is part of Vodafone Idea’s larger plan to invest about $6.6 billion (around ₹55,000 crore) over three years. The company aims to expand its 4G coverage from 1.03 billion people to 1.2 billion and to launch 5G services in key markets. The goal is also to increase capacity to meet the growing demand for data.
The supplies from these contracts will begin in the upcoming quarter. Vodafone Idea’s main focus is to ensure that 4G services reach as many people as possible in India.
