Vodafone Idea is ramping up competition in the telecom sector by offering 130GB of free data to its 4G and 5G users. This new offer, called the ‘Vi Guarantee Programme,’ is available to customers with a new 4G handset or a 5G smartphone.
What is the Vi Guarantee Programme?
The Vi Guarantee Programme gives users 10GB of free data every 28 days, adding up to 130GB of free data over a year. This extra data is on top of your regular data plan and can be used once your regular data is exhausted. However, if you don’t use the extra data within the 30-day period, it will be forfeited.
Vodafone Idea explains, “Eligible Subscribers will get a total of 130GB extra data over a one-year period, given in 13 installments of 10GB each, valid for 28 days each.”
Limited Time Offer and Regional Restrictions
The offer is available for a limited time from May 25 to June 14 and is not available in certain states, including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, the North East, and Orissa.
How to Get the Free Data
- Recharge with a Vi plan costing ₹239 or more.
- Dial 121199 or 199199# on your smartphone.
- You can also claim the free data using the USSD code *199#.
- Ensure you have a new 4G handset (one whose IMEI is not registered with Vi) or a 5G phone.
