Tata Power-DDL Urges Safety Ahead of Dussehra: Avoid Burning Effigies Near Power Lines

As Dussehra celebrations approach, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has made a safety appeal to Delhi residents. They are urging people to avoid burning effigies near electrical installations and power lines, as this can cause fires, power outages, and serious risks to public safety.

To prevent accidents, Tata Power-DDL is carrying out a safety drive to check over 2.28 lakh installations like street lights, poles, and power boxes for potential hazards. Their maintenance teams are staying on high alert to quickly handle any safety issues.

The company also highlighted its focus on keeping public spaces well-lit during the festive season. A maintenance effort for street and high-mast lights is ongoing to ensure safe celebrations.

Additionally, Tata Power-DDL is spreading awareness through customer care centres and other platforms to help prevent electrocution and fire incidents during Dussehra.
