Tata Motors Launches Altroz Racer: Check Price and Features

Tata Motors introduced the Altroz Racer, the latest addition to its premium hatchback range, on Friday. Priced at an introductory rate of Rs 9.49 lakh, the Altroz Racer features a design inspired by race cars. It boasts the distinction of being the first hatchback in India to receive a 5 Star Global NCAP Safety rating. Tata Motors also unveiled two new variants, the XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX, and upgraded the XZ+OS variant.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed excitement about the Altroz Racer, stating that it is engineered to bring excitement to daily driving. The Racer offers high power output, leading features, and a tech-forward approach, making it appealing to the new generation of customers.

Key features of the Altroz Racer include a 360-degree camera, a 26.03 cm infotainment touchscreen, ventilated seats, and six standard airbags. It is equipped with a powerful 1.2 L Turbo petrol engine, delivering 120 Ps at 5500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque from 1750 to 4000 rpm. Additionally, it offers a six-speed manual gearbox for agile performance in city and highway driving.

The Racer is available in three variants—R1, R2, and R3—and three distinct colors: Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White. It offers a range of powertrains, including petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel, and CNG options.

  • R1: Rs 9,49,000/-
  • R2: Rs 10,49,000/-
  • R3: Rs 10,99,000/-

For the new and upgraded variants (Petrol NA MT, Ex-showroom, Delhi):

  • XZ LUX: Rs 8,99,900
  • XZ+S LUX: Rs 9,64,990
  • XZ+OS: Rs 9,98,900
