Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has merged its three fully-owned subsidiaries after getting approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and other regulators. The three merged companies are Tata Consumer Soulfull Pvt Ltd, NourishCo Beverages Ltd, and Tata SmartFoodz Ltd.
The merger, effective from September 1, 2024, aims to simplify and streamline the business, leading to greater efficiency and synergy. Despite the merger, the core operations will remain unchanged, focusing on millet-based products, ready-to-drink items, and ready-to-cook/ready-to-eat foods, which are key growth areas for TCPL.
Tata Consumer Products offers a wide range of items, including tea, coffee, water, salt, pulses, spices, and various ready-to-eat and ready-to-drink products. The company owns major brands like Tata Tea, Tetley, and Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, with a consolidated turnover of ₹15,206 crore.
