As of 10:59 AM IST, several stocks hit their 52-week highs on the NSE, including Vinny Overseas, AGI Infra Ltd., Kitex Garments, Gravita India, and Suprajit Engineering.
The NSE Nifty index rose by 108.85 points to reach 24,252.6, driven by strong performances in major bluechip stocks.
On the flip side, some stocks reached their 52-week lows, such as Arman Financial, IRM Energy, Sai Silks (Kalamandir), Focus Lighting, and Landmark Cars.
Out of the Nifty 50 index, 32 stocks were in the green, while 18 were in the red. Notable gainers included Wipro, TCS, Tata Motors, LTIMindtree, and Hindalco. Meanwhile, HDFC Life, SBI Life, Maruti Suzuki, Power Grid, and Asian Paints faced declines.
The BSE Sensex was up by 362.24 points, reaching 79,468.12 at 10:59 AM IST. Investors showed increased interest in sectors like General, IT Enabled Services, Telecommunications, Packaging, and Consumer Durables. Conversely, selling pressure was seen in Irrigation & Allied Services, Rubber, Infrastructure, Electric/Electronics, and Trading sectors.
