Mumbai: On Wednesday, SpiceJet clarified that the air conditioning on their flight from Delhi to Darbhanga faced a “slight inefficiency” while passengers were boarding. However, media reports claimed that passengers had to wait for an hour inside the plane without proper air conditioning.
Flight Departure
SpiceJet’s Delhi to Darbhanga flight SG 476, which was scheduled to leave at 11 am on June 19, took off on time without any delays. The airline explained that the air conditioning issue occurred during boarding because both doors of the plane were open, and it was very hot outside. The boarding did not use an aerobridge, which made it harder to keep the plane cool.
Temporary Problem
In a statement, the Gurugram-based airline said the problem was temporary. After boarding was completed and the doors were shut, the air conditioning worked normally throughout the flight. The airline also confirmed that the air conditioning was checked and found to be working fine when the flight arrived in Darbhanga.
The same plane was used for the return trip to Delhi, and there were no air conditioning issues reported on that flight, according to SpiceJet.
