Ola Electric has kicked off its Biggest Ola Season Sale, known as BOSS, offering exciting deals and exclusive benefits on its electric scooters. The sale starts today, October 3, with early access for Ola community members, as announced by CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on Twitter.
During this sale, the Ola S1 scooter is available for as low as ₹49,999.
Despite this enticing offer, Ola has experienced its lowest monthly sales this year, selling 23,965 vehicles in September. This marks a decline for the second month in a row, and the company’s market share has fallen to 27% from over 50% in April.
Rivals like TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto have gained market share over the past few months by launching new models at competitive prices. Analysts believe that Ola’s struggles are due to increased competition and issues with its service network, which has led to complaints from customers, including an incident where a man was arrested for setting fire to an Ola showroom due to poor service on his e-scooter.
HSBC analysts have emphasized that improving service will be crucial for Ola to maintain its market share.
