MakeMyTrip has launched a Business Class Fest to meet the rising demand for international business-class flights. Starting on Friday, the travel platform has teamed up with 10 international airlines, including Qantas, Malaysia Airlines, and Singapore Airlines, to offer a 20% discount on business-class tickets.
Other participating airlines include Air India, Oman Air, Air Astana, Turkish Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and Vistara. Additionally, MakeMyTrip has partnered with ICICI Bank to offer an extra ₹10,000 off for ICICI Bank cardholders from September 27 to October 2 during this special event.
Saujanya Shrivastava, the Chief Operating Officer of Flights, Holidays & Gulf at MakeMyTrip, expressed excitement about becoming the go-to platform for premium travelers. She mentioned that they are introducing new features and initiatives to improve the travel experience and will continue to expand their offerings.
This effort follows the launch of a dedicated Business Class Funnel for international flights. MakeMyTrip aims to make premium travel experiences more accessible and rewarding, responding to changing preferences among Indian travelers.
According to MakeMyTrip’s recent report, there has been a 10% increase in searches for international business-class flights from 2023 to 2024. While long-haul destinations like the USA and the UK have traditionally been popular, the trend is now extending to shorter routes, including Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
