Adani also shared his thoughts on the meeting, emphasizing the visit to the world’s largest Hybrid Renewable Energy Park, a 30 GW project in Khavda, Gujarat, being developed by Adani Green Energy Limited.

The project covers 538 sq km, nearly the size of Mumbai and five times larger than Paris. On February 14, 2024, the project transferred 551 MW of solar energy to the national grid for the first time. Adani Green Energy Limited is investing around ₹1.5 lakh crore in the project.

Ambassador Suzuki’s visit underscores Japan’s interest in India’s renewable energy sector. Japan has been funding several infrastructure projects in India, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project, the Dhubri-Phulbari Bridge, and the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road.
