Infosys Sweetens the Deal: ₹8 Lakh Incentive for Employees Moving to Hubballi

Infosys is offering attractive financial incentives to employees willing to relocate to Hubballi, Karnataka. This is part of their strategy to strengthen operations in tier-2 cities such as Indore, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, and Coimbatore, along with Hubballi, as announced in 2023.

Who Can Benefit from the Transfer Policy?

The relocation offer is available to Infosys employees handling project deliveries from any development centre in India. It primarily targets employees at band 2 and above.

Details of the Transfer Policy

  • Band 3 and Below: Employees at band 3 and below will receive an initial relocation allowance of ₹25,000. They will also get an additional ₹25,000 every six months for two years, totalling ₹1.25 lakh after 24 months.
  • Bands 4 to 7: Employees at higher bands can receive up to ₹8 lakh, including the initial allowance, over the same period.

Purpose of the Transfer Policy

This policy aims to attract employees from the Mumbai-Karnataka region to work in Hubballi. Employees can continue working on their current projects from the new location, leveraging Hubballi’s modern infrastructure and helping reduce Infosys’ operational costs.

Karnataka Minister MB Patil praised Infosys’ relocation initiative in a post on X (formerly Twitter):
