Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, met with officials from Hyundai Motor in Seoul, South Korea, to attract investment and boost the state’s economy.
CM Reddy highlighted Telangana’s focus on attracting big global companies and shared that Hyundai had plans to invest in a car testing facility in the state through its Indian subsidiary, Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt Ltd. (HMIE).
He praised Telangana’s industry-friendly policies and modern infrastructure, which have made it easier for companies like Hyundai to do business in the state.
Following the discussions, Hyundai, through HMIE, announced plans to build a large Mega Test Center in Telangana. This center will feature an automated test track and a cutting-edge facility for manufacturing test cars, including electric vehicles (EVs). The center is expected to attract other companies and suppliers, creating numerous job opportunities.
Additionally, Hyundai is upgrading its existing engineering center in Hyderabad, which will further increase employment in India and the Asia-Pacific region. HMIE expressed gratitude to CM Reddy for supporting this initiative, emphasizing the importance of India as a market and their commitment to developing top-quality products and technologies for Indian customers.
