HUDCO, Cochin Shipyard Among 13 Indian PSU Stocks Added to FTSE All-World Index by Global Provider FTSE

Global index provider FTSE announced on Friday that it has added 13 Indian stocks to its FTSE All-World Index. This index includes large and mid-cap stocks from various regions, and the recent changes saw the most additions from India.

The Indian stocks added to the FTSE All-World Index are: Bank of Maharashtra, Bharat Dynamics, Central Bank of India, Cochin Shipyard, Endurance Technologies, Escorts Kubota, GE T&D India, Hitachi Energy India, Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), IRB Infrastructure Developers, KEI Industries, Lloyds Metals and Energy, and Motilal Oswal Financial Services.

The FTSE All-World Index is designed to represent the performance of large and mid-cap stocks across developed and emerging markets, covering about 90% of the global equity market. It is used as a basis for investment products like funds, derivatives, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

In addition to these changes, the FTSE Large Cap Index saw the inclusion of 14 stocks, including Bharat Dynamics, Dixon Technologies, Jindal Stainless, Linde India, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Oil India, Oracle Financial Services Software, PB Fintech, Phoenix Mills, Prestige Estates Projects, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), Thermax, Torrent Power, and UNO Minda.

However, some stocks were removed from the index, such as Adani Wilmar, One 97 Communications (Paytm), Page Industries, Tata Elxsi, and UPL.

The FTSE Mid Cap Index also had some changes, with inclusions like Adani Wilmar, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Cochin Shipyard, Endurance Technologies, Escorts Kubota, GE T&D India, Hitachi Energy India, HUDCO, IRB Infrastructure, KEI Industries, Lloyds Metals and Energy, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Paytm, Page Industries, Tata Elxsi, and UPL. The exclusions from this index were Dixon Technologies, Jindal Stainless, Linde India, Mazagon Dock, Oil India, Oracle Financial Services Software, PB Fintech, Phoenix Mills, Prestige Estates, RVNL, Thermax, Torrent Power, and UNO Minda.
