Hero Motocorp Limited witnessed a 2% increase in its share price, trading at Rs 3,048, following the announcement that the company has received 13,688 bookings for its new flagship motorcycle, Karizma XMR.
Hero Motocorp has already initiated the dispatch of Karizma XMR to its dealerships, with customer deliveries set to commence during the festive season this month, as reported in an exchange filing on October 4.
At 9:26 am, Hero Motocorp’s stock was trading at Rs 3,023, marking a 1.3% increase from the previous closing price on the NSE.
Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Business Officer at Hero Motocorp, expressed the company’s commitment to delivering an exceptional premium riding experience to every Karizma owner, adding that they are confident about bringing joy to the upcoming festive season.
The Karizma XMR, initially launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,72,900, will now be available at Rs 1,79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), with the company expected to announce the new booking window soon.
Last week, the company informed the stock exchanges of a marginal increase in the ex-showroom prices of select motorcycles and scooters, effective from October 3.
The Karizma XMR is equipped with a 210cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine and a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch.
Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, reported sales of 5,36,499 motorcycles in September, representing a 3% increase compared to the same period last year.
On October 4, the company’s stock closed at Rs 2,991.45 on the National Stock Exchange, marking a 0.80% decline from the previous close.
