Dolly Khanna, a well-known Indian stock market investor, has acquired a stake of about 1.03 percent in the small-cap stock Tinna Rubber and Infrastructure by the end of Q1FY25, as per the company’s latest shareholding data on BSE.
Khanna, based in Chennai, is renowned for her ability to identify lesser-known small-cap stocks that deliver substantial returns, which attracts many retail investors to closely follow her portfolio. They track her investments by examining the latest shareholding patterns of companies in her portfolio.
The June-quarter shareholding data for Tinna Rubber and Infrastructure reveals that Khanna held shares in the company during the last quarter. Tinna Rubber is a diversified company involved in producing rubberized asphalt and recycled rubber materials.
Dolly Khanna’s Shareholding
According to Tinna Rubber and Infrastructure’s Q1FY25 shareholding pattern, Khanna held 1,76,289 shares in the company, equating to a 1.03 percent stake. Her name was not included in the company’s shareholding data for the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal year, indicating that she purchased these shares during the first quarter of the current financial year.
However, this data alone does not prove whether she bought all these shares for the first time during this quarter or if she gradually accumulated them. This uncertainty arises from an exchange rule requiring listed companies to disclose the names of shareholders owning one percent or more of the company’s stake. If a shareholder owns less than one percent, their names are not required to be disclosed.
This means Khanna might have held some shares of Tinna Rubber at the end of Q4FY24 but owned less than one percent of the company’s total paid-up capital. Therefore, two possibilities exist: Khanna already had a stake in the company below one percent, so it was not previously disclosed, or she bought a fresh stake during Q1FY24. Regardless, it is certain that Khanna purchased additional shares in the company during Q1FY25.
