The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will have extra trains on standby to handle the expected surge in passengers on Raksha Bandhan, which falls on Monday.
In a statement, DMRC said they will also place additional staff at metro stations to manage the increased number of commuters. These staff members will operate extra ticket counters to help reduce waiting times.
To make traveling easier on Raksha Bandhan, DMRC will keep extra trains ready on its routes. These trains will be brought into service if needed to manage the rush.
Passengers are encouraged to use mobile apps like DMRC Momentum 2.0, WhatsApp, Paytm, One Delhi, and Amazon to buy QR tickets online. This will help avoid long lines at ticket counters. Alternatively, passengers can purchase national common mobility cards or smart cards from customer care centers.
The statement also mentioned that guards and customer facilitation agents (CFA) will be stationed at major metro stations to assist and guide passengers throughout the day.
