Britannia Share Price Soars to All-Time High Amid Market Crash: Experts Predict More Gains

Britannia Hits Lifetime High Despite Market Crash

Despite a major sell-off in the Indian stock market, where most indices saw heavy losses, Britannia’s share price reached a new high of ₹5,414.40 per share on the NSE. The stock closed at ₹5,340 per share, up by 3.50%. Experts say that during market downturns, investors often turn to FMCG, pharma, and IT stocks for stability. This shift helped Britannia and other FMCG stocks rise during Tuesday’s session. Experts are optimistic about further gains, predicting a short-term target of ₹5,500 for Britannia.

Why Britannia’s Share Price is Rising

Avinash Gorakshkar from Profitmart Securities explained that in a declining market, investors view FMCG, pharma, and IT stocks as safer options. This trend was evident on Tuesday, with the Nifty FMCG index rising by about one percent. Gorakshkar believes this pattern will continue, making Britannia a good hold for investors looking to minimize short-term losses.

Future Outlook for Britannia Shares

Ganesh Dongre from Anand Rathi also sees more upside for Britannia. He noted that despite the market crash, the Nifty FMCG Index remained strong. Technically, Britannia has immediate support at ₹5,130 per share. Dongre suggests that investors can hold the stock with a target of ₹5,410 to ₹5,415 in the near term. If the stock closes above ₹5,415, it could reach ₹5,500 soon.

Investment Strategy for New Investors

For those looking to invest in Britannia, Dongre recommends buying at the current price and continuing to accumulate as long as the stock stays above ₹5,130. With potential targets of ₹5,410 to ₹5,415 and a short-term goal of ₹5,500, this strategy aims to maximize returns as the stock gains further.
