Bank Holiday for Mahashivratri 2024: Banks to remain closed in these cities

On March 8, 2024, Mahashivratri will be observed, leading to bank closures in specific cities across India. While banks remain closed nationwide on gazetted holidays like Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti, festivals such as Mahashivratri prompt state-specific bank holidays.

Cities like Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Dehradun, Hyderabad (AP and Telangana), Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram will experience bank closures on Mahashivratri.
