Mumbai Metro to Auction Prime 4.2-Acre Land at Nariman Point for the First Time

For the first time, a prime 4.2-acre piece of land in Nariman Point, South Mumbai, is being auctioned by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL) through a global tender. Nariman Point has been a key business district since the 1970s, and this sale marks a major development for the area.

The MMRCL has already spoken with several major global and Indian companies, such as Blackstone Group, Tata Group, Lodha, and Oberoi Realty, and received positive feedback.

Ashwini Bhide, Managing Director of MMRCL, said that new infrastructure projects like the Eastern Freeway, Atal Setu, extended Coastal Road, and the Metro will make Nariman Point more accessible. These projects are expected to reduce travel time, ease congestion, and attract more businesses and investors to the area, helping Nariman Point regain its position as a major business hub.
