Vijay Kedia Boosts Stake in Debt-Free Precision Camshafts Stock, Soaring 45% in 6 Months

Vijay Kedia, a well-known investor, has increased his stake in Precision Camshafts Ltd., an auto parts manufacturer, during the July-September 2024 quarter. The stock, which is considered a small-cap, has seen a strong rise, jumping over 26% in just one week.

Through his company, Kedia Securities Pvt Ltd, Vijay Kedia bought 10,00,000 shares, representing a 1.05% stake in Precision Camshafts. In addition to this, Kedia personally owns another 10,00,000 shares, also equaling a 1.05% stake, according to data from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

As of the end of September, Vijay Kedia’s total holding in Precision Camshafts, including both his personal shares and the ones through Kedia Securities, stands at 20,00,000 shares, or 2.10%.

In comparison, at the end of June 2024, Kedia personally held 11 lakh shares, or 1.16% of the company. His firm did not hold any shares at that time.

Another well-known investor, Ajay Upadhyaya, also holds 20 lakh shares, which makes up 2.11% of Precision Camshafts.

Precision Camshafts supplies camshafts both in India and internationally. The company has no debt, and its promoters hold the majority stake at 65.37%, with the remaining 34.63% held by foreign investors, domestic institutions, and the public.

Stock Performance of Precision Camshafts

The stock has been performing well, giving investors a return of over 27% in one week and more than 62% in the last three months. So far this year, it has gone up by 16%.

As of 1:20 pm, shares of Precision Camshafts were trading 1.22% lower at ₹304.15 each, giving the company a market value of ₹2,889 crore on the BSE.
