Accenture has announced a $4 billion share buyback and increased its 2025 revenue forecast by 3-6%, driven by a growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI). The company’s fourth-quarter revenue of $16.41 billion was better than expected, largely thanks to businesses adopting generative AI technology.
Accenture’s shares rose nearly 7% in premarket trading. Its generative AI services have been growing for four straight quarters, helping balance the slowdown in other IT services.
Accenture’s new customer contracts, known as bookings, jumped to $20.1 billion in the fourth quarter, up from $17.25 billion in the previous quarter. Out of this, $1 billion came from generative AI services, up from $900 million the previous quarter.
