Small-cap company Solex Energy, which has given a 162% return over the past year, announced a 1:4 bonus issue in August. The company has set September 13 as the record date for this bonus issue, making today the last chance to buy shares to qualify for the bonus.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, Solex Energy confirmed the record date: “The company has fixed the ‘Record Date’ as Friday, September 13, 2024, to determine the eligibility of shareholders for the bonus issue.”
The 1:4 bonus issue means that for every 1 share a shareholder owns, they will receive 4 additional shares. Each share is valued at ₹10.
This is the first time Solex Energy is issuing bonus shares to its shareholders, according to data on Trendlyne.
Solex Energy’s stock has gained 162% in the last year, compared to a 25.7% rise in the Nifty 50 index during the same period. Over the past six months, the stock has increased by nearly 110%.
