BCM Group Buys Luxury Golden Palms Resort in Bengaluru

BCM Group has bought The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa, a five-star hotel in Bengaluru, from World Resorts Limited. Rajesh Mehta, BCM Group’s managing director, shared this news without revealing the deal’s financial details. The resort covers 15 acres.

Mehta announced that BCM Group now fully owns the luxury hotel and plans to turn it into a top wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination in India. BCM Group is involved in real estate, hospitality, education, healthcare, and manufacturing.

This purchase fits BCM Group’s goal of expanding in India’s luxury hospitality market. They also own other five-star hotels like Sheraton Grand Palace in Indore and Le Meridien in Surat, with a new Taj hotel coming up in Indore with over 450 rooms.

The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa has 150 rooms and suites, a spa, specialty restaurants with a vegetarian kitchen, a swimming pool, a business center, conference halls, and other recreational facilities. BCM Group plans to add 50 more rooms and will partner with a top international hotel operator for upgrades.

Mehta highlighted that Bengaluru lacks many getaway spots and large MICE properties, making this acquisition ideal. The resort is near Bangalore International Exhibition Centre and the stadium. Although it needs some upgrades, the company aims to make it one of the best destinations in southern India.

In addition, BCM Group will add 110 rooms to its 115-room Sheraton Grand Palace in Indore and upgrade Le Meridien in Surat, which will have 190 rooms by the end of this year. The Taj hotel in Indore is expected to open by 2028.
