SEBI’s New Chatbot SEVA Ready to Answer All Your Questions: How to Use It

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has launched SEBI’s Virtual Assistant (SEVA), an AI-powered chatbot designed to help investors. SEVA aims to provide information and assistance on various processes.

“In its effort to protect investors, SEBI has introduced SEBI’s Virtual Assistant (SEVA), an AI-based chatbot for investors,” SEBI announced.

SEVA offers several features, including the ability to cite sources, answer follow-up questions, and convert speech-to-text and text-to-speech for easier use.

“The Beta version of SEVA includes features like citations for responses, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech functionality for accessibility, follow-up questions, and more,” SEBI stated.

Currently, SEVA can answer questions about the securities market, provide the latest circulars, and explain the grievance redressal process. SEBI plans to add more features and gather user feedback.

Users can access the main menu to ask about the securities market and SEBI’s complaint redressal platform (SCORES). It also provides details about SEBI employees, options to register complaints, SEBI contact information, and feedback for the chatbot.

The beta version of SEVA is available on SEBI’s official website (https://investor.sebi.gov.in/) and the SAARTHI mobile app (available for Android and iOS).

SEBI has introduced various measures to protect investors, such as simplifying the share transfer process, assigning unique codes to transactions, maintaining order timestamps, creating an investor protection fund, and regulating brokers and sub-brokers. SEVA is another step to ensure investor safety.
