State-owned BHEL announced on Friday that it has secured two major contracts worth ₹7,000 crore from the Adani Group for power plants. The first contract is for a 2×800 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, awarded by Adani Power Limited.
The second contract is for another 2×800 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, awarded by MTEUPPL, a subsidiary of Adani Power Limited.
BHEL will handle the manufacturing and supply of the main plant equipment and related auxiliaries for both projects. This includes steam generators, steam turbines, and generators, which will be produced at BHEL’s Trichy and Haridwar plants.
